Hot take apparently but if you’re writing an x male reader fanfic you don’t need to put (m/n).
(y/n) already stands for YOUR name which is gender neutral?? There are other ways to get the point of the reader being male across.
Maybe i’m being dramatic but when reading fics w (m/n) it makes me feel kinda weird ??

It was a PLL fanfic that was a Jason x reader. Well, 90% sure it was an x reader but if not then x an OC.
pretty much the plot was that reader was bffs w Alison and the liars and they’re having a sleepover at the same time Jason is having a house party. Alison dares the reader to go downstairs and steal some alcohol. When reader goes down there a drunk Jason flirts w them then they goes back upstairs. Later on in the night reader gets up to pee and bumps into Jason again and I think they go to his room??
A little fuzzy on the details but I remember really liking this fic :(( It was either on Tumblr or Wattpad but i’m pretty sure it was tumblr. pls send me the link if you know it ty !!
pining is 100000% the most important aspect of pre-relationship fic for me. good-natured whole-hearted pining filled with lovelorn gazing and chest aching and fluttering touches, that’s my top priority. i was put on this earth to watch characters suffer over the profundity of their love for another person. unrequited love is why god made me. characters finding out that their feelings are reciprocated after long months/years of suffering is why the universe was assembled from nothingness. amen.
